Dammit! Brother Esau always eludes me!!
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there

Easy Answers. There would be a cool song to catch at a Furthur show.

Hey kids, just thought I would share with you my sister's comments from yesterday about this show:

"Acoustic shows have been amazing. Finally heard Dark Star played the way it was meant to be played and it was amazing. Things were so good, we've decided to go to Phoenix tomorrow."

Very interesting..........any recordings out there someone can linke me too..........thanks!!!!!!

that's an interesting perspective.
You aren't interesting or clever when you write or speak in the lyrics of others. Rather, what are YOUR words?

I thought so too, not sure what she meant by that. I thought I have heard some pretty good ones over the years including the Greek 1984 show. I'll find out more. That's why I am looking for a recording, I would like to hear it.

Yeah that does peak my interest. Did he do a 45 minute Dark Star? That's how I picture the way it should be played

Regardless I can't wait for Thursday!

Hey. Sorry for the long delay in finally getting more info, was on the road last week and the spent the weekend skiing.

So my sister shad the following comments on why she liked Dark Star so much:

"The Dark Star was so amazing because it was the 3 (Jonathan Wilson , Jackie and Bob) all playing acoustic guitar differently to the song. Like differing harmonies. It was beautiful. Unmuddled by any other instrument and a really strong vocal. "

Interesting. I can see how that song in particular could be really nice with three acoustic guitars. Some of the versions I like best are those early 70s versions that are long and "subtle".
